Arbitrary Color
This art was created by Pierre Bonnard in 1917, and was titled Summer. This is considered an arbitrary color. As defined it means it is a color that has no realistic or natural relation to the object that is depicted as a blue horse or purple cow but may have an emotional or expressive significance. I don't know when the last time i saw a blue tree but I'm sure it wouldn't be on planet earth. To the artist he might of been trying too send a message or express him self emotionally but to look at it in a realistic point of view this is to be considered an arbitrary color. And as the other arrow depicts the yellow people, just like the tree might have meaning behind it but its not a realistic image.
